Design

From the moment he hears of a client in need, Owner Ian Ray, P.E., will be planning the design of the project. Proper planning prior to the construction phase of a project ensures high-quality results. Complete project design allows us to plan a structurally sound and visually pleasing remodel and will give client the most accurate financial analysis possible.

  • Designs may involve sketching project outcomes, establishing a detailed construction schedule that would highlight activities including purchasing materials, beginning tear-out work, and expected project completion dates for each step.

  • As a LEED Certified Structural Engineer, Ian is familiar with, and enjoys designing new structures and remodels that involve earth friendly materials and functions.

  • Doing the initial project design gives us an opportunity to work closely with the client to create the structure, or remodel a current structure, that will satisfy the functional or visual desires of the client.

 


 

Build

When building a structure the methods of construction and types of materials used are of equal importance. Our goal is to take the building plans and create an aesthetically pleasing product that will be functionally stable for years to come. At Evergreen Structures, our building process maintains an order of operations throughout the project to ensure efficiency and also sound structural development.

  • Strict adherence to approved design plans is monitored in an effort to create their desired habitat as they requested.

  • Subcontractors are chosen according to specific experience they have and Evergreen Structures will assure quality work through supervision.

  • Building may involve structures we've designed as well as structures designed by architects.

Remodel

When a remodel is in order, organization and communication play key roles. When the remodel is complete, our creation will provide increased functionality as well as aesthetic satisfaction. Though it varies between jobs, remodeling does not always require inhabitants to live outside the structure.

  • Though each remodel is different, we strive to follow a detailed and strict work plan to avoid disrupting the daily routines of the clients or inhabitants for longer than necessary.

  • Evergreen Structures takes great pride in maintaining an orderly work site throughout the remodeling process and will not claim completion until the client is pleased with the work provided.

Engineer

As a Professional Engineer, Owner of Evergreen Structures, Ian Ray, P.E. is trained and experienced in several engineering fields. Evergreen Structures can provide foundation reports, structural evaluations, or develop a new framing structure for a home remodel. The importance of having a Professional Structural Engineer investigate your building can save time and money as our environments change and take a toll on our immediate habitats.

  • As weather conditions become increasingly unpredictable, a Professional Engineer evaluation of structure foundations can identify future problems and provide immediate solutions to prevent property value depletion as well as structural damage.

  • When planning a remodel or renovation a Professional Engineer can identify potential structural failure areas and advise of solutions to create a structurally sound remodel/renovation.

  • A Professional Engineer may evaluate a structure or foundation and write the approval letter to satisfy city building code regulations.
