This bathroom was simple and the homeowners desired a touch of elegance but wanted to keep the classic style of the room. Custom detail work helps keep attention moving throughout the room (custom designed moldings, custom stained cabinetry, decorative tile design.) The shower created establishes a sense of relaxation as it was designed to fit the physical needs of both homeowners (bench height, hardware style/height, and inset box for storage. The elements of function and style were tested as Ian created ways to retain existing elements like the locations of cabinetry, tub, mirrors, shower, and walls but finish with a bathroom making the owners feel as if an entire reconstruction had happened.
